1.2 Million Ram Trucks Recalled

When we show you around the new Ram lineup here at Krueger Auto & Truck Villa, you can rest assured that you're getting the best of the best. While our vehicles offer the performance, power, comfort, efficiency, and affordability that you want, they also give you the safety and security you need. So when the automaker announced a recall over a safety issue, we know that it's our duty to see that all of our loyal drivers in the greater Waterloo area and beyond are aware of the problem.

With 1.2 million units affected, Chrysler Group is recalling a wide selection of models. Ram 3500 and 2500 pickups and chassis cabs from the 2003-2008 model years, Ram 1500 4x4 Mega Cabs from the 2008 model year, and Ram 4500 and 5500 4x4 chassis cabs from the 2008-2012 model years are all subject to this recall. If you drive one of the vehicles described, please read on.

The issue at hand is in regards to steering problems. According to the automaker, steering-system tie rods may have been misaligned during assembly or steering-system service. While the number of vehicles recalled is large, Chrysler states that up to 726,000 may not need repair. Better safe than sorry, of course.
